My life for you requires only one thing, “Your Value”

People who do their works only for the pleasure of the six sense doors, which is deep mind rooted for their own sakes, are so heavy loads for the earth. This is a blind way of their lives because the real path towards happiness is not to chase after desire. First, supposing that their desire could be fulfilled, they should not scorch their exhausted lives to follow their own endless inflation of craving. It is delusive that the fulfillment of limitless desire is the happiness or success in life. In truth, with a peaceful mind away from craving, you will realize that to attain happiness is to reduce wanting which is not necessary to support life to the point of real need. Your life becomes peaceful when your wise mind can define your needs for life you can fulfill. Second, desire can never be fulfilled. The nature of wanting mind has no boundary; but obviously, what can be fulfilled is limited. Don’t take “No, it is not desire; I just want to be a provincial governor, a minister or a ranked official or just want to have money of this or that sum” for a boundary. So speaking, I would be able to fulfill it. In fact, the mind defiled with desire can never be satisfied. That you think you want only this or that position as above raised is because you know that you cannot be Prime Minister. If you reached the place where you felt you could go further, the mind defiled with powerful desire would never stop at one point and make you go further. The wanting mind has no boundary and makes you unsatisfied for your entire life because you are now intoxicated with the desire as you are in the drunkenness of alcohol, so you see the offense as a simple and pleasant thing. In reality, the need for self-sufficient life you may have come across somewhere in your life but did not notice and went far past it.
Only idealistic works such as: fighting against evil beings, protecting the weak who deserve the protection, and serving valuable people with sentiment can differentiate our lives from animals’ or human creatures’. Life that is not deeply embedded with value is useless and can be disastrous to other living beings on earth. Life on idealistic and sentimental path is extremely exhausting and sometimes agonizing but brilliant and sweet. Idealistic and sentimental life is the life for others but requires one condition from them: “Value”. If they are valuable enough, the life is a deal. Veasna Khem
